Exroid® Aftercare Kit
Purpose: practical hygiene and comfort support in the first days after Exroid® treatment, plus simple guidance you can keep at home.
What’s in the kit
- Fragrance-free cleansing wipes (individually wrapped) — gentle, alcohol-free; use only if water isn’t available.
- Peri bottle (squeeze cleanser) — for warm-water rinsing after bowel motions.
- Barrier cream (zinc oxide or petrolatum base) — protects skin; unscented.
- Non-medicated soothing gel — water-based, cooling; no menthol or fragrance.
- Gauze pads & liners — light protection for spotting/mucus.
- Disposable gloves — for clean application of creams if desired.
- Fibre support sachets (non-prescription) — to help keep stools soft; flavour-free.
- Printed aftercare guide — day-by-day tips, red-flag checklist, and clinic contact details.
Exact brands may vary based on supply. All items are fragrance-free or low-irritant and suitable for sensitive skin.
How to use (quick start)
- After each bowel motion, rinse with warm water using the peri bottle; pat dry with tissue or gauze.
- Apply a thin layer of barrier cream to protect the skin; avoid rubbing.
- Use the soothing gel for comfort as needed (external use only).
- If water isn’t available, use one gentle wipe and follow with water as soon as practical.
- Take the included fibre support as per the packet instructions unless advised otherwise by your doctor.
Who it’s for
- Exroid® patients who want a ready-to-go set for the first 3–7 days of recovery.
- Patients who prefer fragrance-free, simple skincare.
Precautions
- Allergies: check ingredients before use (especially zinc, lanolin, latex in gloves). Perform a small patch test on intact skin first.
- External use only. Do not insert products rectally unless prescribed.
- Stop use and contact the clinic if significant irritation or rash occurs.
