Aftercare & Skincare - Botox & Dermal Fillers

Quick Reference
Anti-wrinkle (Botox) — first 24–48 hours
- Keep areas clean; minimal makeup day 1.
- No rubbing/massage; avoid lying face-down for 4–6 hours.
- No strenuous exercise, saunas/steam rooms, or hot yoga for 24 hours.
- Paracetamol is usually fine for headache/tightness. Don’t stop prescribed medicines.
- Onset 3–5 days; peak ~2 weeks.
Dermal fillers — first 48–72 hours
- Swelling/bruising common (especially lips). Cool compresses 10 min on/10 off.
- Sleep on your back with head elevated. No massage unless instructed.
- Avoid heat, heavy exercise, and alcohol excess for 48h.
- Hydrate; fragrance-free balm for lips.
Skincare
- Day 0–1: gentle cleanser, bland moisturiser, SPF 30+.
- Botox: reintroduce actives after 24–48h if skin is calm.
- Fillers: reintroduce actives after ~72h if skin is calm.
- Avoid facials/peels; avoid dental work for 2 weeks after fillers.
When to contact the clinic
- Botox: eyelid/brow droop, persistent asymmetry, visual symptoms.
- Fillers (urgent): severe/worsening pain, blanching/mottled skin, coldness, visual changes; signs of infection.
