Anti-Wrinkle (Botox) — Doctor-Led Treatment
Provider: Dr. Joseph G. Browne | Location: Castleknock, Dublin 15
What it is
Anti-wrinkle treatment uses a prescription botulinum toxin to relax selected facial muscles that cause dynamic lines (lines formed by movement). The goal is a fresher, natural look rather than a “frozen” face. All dosing and treatment decisions are made by the doctor at consultation.
Doctor-led approach
- Conservative, natural results: precise units, tailored to your facial anatomy.
- Evidence-based practice: assessment, dosing, and review window (typically 2–3 weeks if clinically appropriate).
- Safety first: thorough history, sterile technique, written aftercare, and clear red-flag guidance.
Common treatment areas
- Glabella (frown lines) — the “11s” between the eyebrows
- Forehead lines — horizontal lines
- Crow’s feet — lines around the outer eyes
Advanced options (subject to assessment)
May be offered following consultation and consent: bunny lines (nose), brow lift balance, lip “flip”, chin dimpling, DAO (downturned mouth corners), gummy smile softening, masseter reduction (jawline), platysmal bands (neck), and underarm hyperhidrosis. Some are off-label uses; this will be discussed before treatment.
What to expect
- Consultation & consent — medical history, facial assessment, and treatment plan.
- Treatment — multiple small injections with very fine needles; usually well tolerated.
- Review — if indicated, a check at 2–3 weeks to assess effect and adjust within plan.
Onset & longevity
- Onset: typically 3–5 days
- Peak effect: around 10–14 days
- Duration: usually ~3–4 months (varies by area, dose, and individual metabolism)
Pricing
- 1 Area — €170
- 2–3 Areas — €360 - €540
Final dosing, suitability, and exact area mapping are determined at consultation.
